During the first few days of the Russian war on Ukraine, 13 Ukrainian Guardsman were confronted by a Russian warship while stationed on a tiny patch of land in the Black Sea called Snake Island. When the warship ordered the Guardsman to lay down their arms and surrender, the brave Ukrainians responded, "Russian Warship, go f*ck yourself!" Moments later, the 13 Guardsman were attacked by that same Russian warship. After surviving two artillery barrages, the Guardsman depleted all their ammunition and were captured. As of February 28, 2022, the Guardsman are still being held by Russian forces.
This will forever be a testament to bravery, patriotism, and honor. God bless those Guardsman, and God bless Ukraine.
